Homepage Not In Google Search

We've been having problems with our company website in google search. When we type in the name of the company, our Yelp, Merchant Circle, and Wordpress pages pop up, along with other pages from our site. The problem is, our homepage is nowhere to be found.

This is obviously costing us visitors and money.

When I search Google for our URL, shows as the first result. But when I just search our company name, I dont get the site.

What could be the issue?

I even checked for malware with Google Webmaster Tools and it didnt detect anything.

Do every one of your internal pages(I am assuming they are not subdomains??)have a backlink to your home page.
Is the html exactly the same on every page(with slight differences for keywords etc)
Have you tried resubmitting home page to google after updating it.
Out of interest, is all your traffic searching for your domain name and not searching for a keyword of some sort.?
 
All of pages have backlinks to the home page. When I search for my site, I use the site name and also search for related key words.
 
Then just wack some fresh content on your root domain, ..and buy some decent backlink packages+bookmarks from BHW.
Total cost would be less than $100.00
You should be fine after a few days..:D
 
Does that mean that our Wordpress posts can be backlinks to our site? How does that help my homepage visibility?
 
Have you allowed your site to be crawled by Google?

Check wordpress settings!

Google Webmaster Tools has crawled my site with no errors.

I dont see a "settings" option in Wordpress. Where is that?
 
Your Meta tags like title need to be your company name. Internal links to your home page need to be the company name also, not "home". Anchor text for outside links to your homepage need to be your company name. If you want your home page to rank for any term, including your company name, you need to tell google's crawler what that page is about. Just basic seo, really.

So, our homepage title has to be the company name? What about description and keywords? Can I Also add name into those? If so, how many times before its considered spam?

How would I tell the google crawler what we're about?

Sorry for all of the questions, Im very new to this and we currently cant afford a professional SEO expert.

I have been busy moving...sorry for the slow reply. All the things I mentioned "tell" the google crawler what your site is about. You can mention the company name once in the keywords tag along with 2- 4 other kw, and also in the description. Your homepage title does not HAVE to be the company name, but make it a kw rather than home. Is your company name your main KW?? Is your company so well known that people are searching for your company name? If so, then make it your homepage title. If not, make it something that includes your main kw. You started the thread saying you want to find your company name ahead of the other listings. PM me your site if you want me to take a look.

First make sure you have the right on-page optimization for your home page (All metatags and the content better have your company name). Then get a social bookmarking job done to your home page - with your company name as the title. $10 spend in this simple activity can rank your website for your company name - within a week.
