You do not need to register anything but in that you have an account you would be well served by going to the Marketplace, read what is offered and ask the sellers questions to make sure you are getting what you want.

You've registered as you have an account and username, but you can buy through the marketplace without registering.

If you want to open a Hire A Freelancer or Want To Buy, then yes you need the account.
