hello fellow BHW'ers,
so for all you people that run your own independent sites, here is a monthly checklist.
NOTE:
It is only viewable on on one of my dummy gmail accounts, so copy it to your own.
It is incomplete - i normally have external sheets linked into the main sheet but ive copied across some of the pages so give you examples.
TAB BREAKDOWN
DATA: you should list what you want to record to see your websites progress
COMPETITORS: (i cant grab the info across sorry) should have comparable information towards yourself to see what keywords you can improve on, their setup, etc.
ON-PAGE SEO: I use screaming frog, speed insights and semrush for the info. moz too but very rarely.
OFF-PAGE SEO: This should also include youre FB/INSTA/TIKTOK/MEDIUM/PINTEREST and others. i had to exclude due to sensitive data but break down each post.
KEYWORDS/HASHTAGS: self explanatory - stats for yourself
HASHTAGS: rending hashtags
STATISTICS: website growth
BLOG: genre/topic breakdown and progression
NEXT 4 - KEYWORDS: The Keywords are pretty much how the layout should be spread out. i didnt go through all the keywords (i used pokemon for this niche example) and single out the non-clustered ones.
this should be done on a monthly basis!
*again, some were external google sheets linked in, just tried to compact it for easy copy*
Other SEO people that want to comment: add your input. this is similar to what i use professionally, but a quick rough draft for solo users so i understand the layout could be better blah blah blah, but for starter people, it'll put them into the right direction. But add your 2 cents, more input will help the community.
