Help! wordpress and SEO why they ask me for..

Hi guys I'm new to that so I wanted to ask you why wordpress asks me weather I want to aprove backlinks that are comming in? Don't they assume that I actually WANT to get high ranked?
I think there is a good reason they ask that and I got the feeling you know the answer..........

I struggled but couldn't drive a meaning out of this.
 
^^ lol Ok so what I understood is OP wants to know why there is comment moderation in his Wordpress blog..

@OP If there is no comment moderation, you blog would be spammed to death! Approve comments which are relevant . Also make sure the links in the comments do not point to any spammy sites..

This may also be pingbacks/trackbacks that you're seeing from links you are creating.
