Help with Loading actual banner rather than Text

I know this may come as noob question, but I figured this was a good place to ask.

I just started a forum and am looking to monatize my traffic. I entered in an advertisement into my header and footer. The link is just text based. How would I go about getting a graphical banner for advertising?

Check the "creatives" section, the advertisers normally provide the code to include a banner rather than text link.

This. If you were using AdSense; you have an option to use text -- or to use a banner. Both can be converting, and are used for different things.
