Help! Panda 19th Dec has killed my rankings

Hi there,

Ive just opened ranktracker for the first time since leaving for the Christmas break and one of my sites that used to rank for 'personal injury claims' has lost all of its rankings for this term and other keywords around it.

some of the low end terms like 'spinal injury claim' have remained however the traffic from these is really low.

anyone got any info on what the dec 19th update was about and how to fix it other than 'improve your website content' and 'optimise your pages' as im sure things must have moved on since Feb lol.

A lot of it was to do with what appears above the fold. If your site has a lot of images and ads above the fold that is likely to be the cause.

so if a site has banner images at the top of each page then this would get a penalty?

They are just hitting scammy looking sites very very hard. To be honest just clean the site up to look more professional and then keep updating it!!!! Make absolutely sure the backlinks are quality !!

does it have a lot of bouncebacks? Reduce them.
