[HELP] FB ads showing 10x conversions

My client is promoting his site on facebook that I built for him to get leads for his product. As per the instructions, I have added the fb pixel on each page and a custom event pixel on thank you page.

He is running 20 ads and seeing conversions in few, but the problem is that he is seeing lots of conversions and less registrations. Now he is wondering whether his campaign is not performing or FB is showing wrong data.

If you guys have any experience regarding this please feel free to comment below. I just need to know whether it's the pixels or his ad campaigns.

There is always a discrepancy between FB reports vs actual output. But usually it is not much. Shaving happens all the time but I don't think it would be very significant. Maybe you got your pixel installed the wrong way.

Hey thanks for your reply mate!
That's what I thought, so I double checked the pixel and look at his ads.
We might have just figured it out. What I see is that fb considering visits outside the fb as conversion too. So when I visit his page and do a test and go to thank you page, it's getting calculated as conversion. We have no idea why fb is doing that, as fb normally only calculate conversions that comes from fb. Any idea how we can fix it?
