Ok so earlier today in an engagement group, a user was explaining how on his device, his post are in the top for some of the hashtags, but when using a different account, the post isn't there.

I've just returned home to check on it and realized the same as well for me. Logged into my 'content' account, IG shows me that I'm in the top posts for some of the tags, yet in using my personal account to view the same tags, every single top post is the same... . .. except one... . the one which 'replaces' my content account post. (I use 25 hastags)

It's as if IG is messing around with me.
Can someone explain what's going on here? Quite new to this.

There's 2 possibilities, depending on where in the top 9 spots the posts are appearing. The top posts for each hashtag are not static, they are slightly tailed to the logged in user, so accounts that you follow (or your own account) will appear slightly higher that they would for a random user not following anyone. For this reason, you should always use a dummy account that doesn't follow anything in your niche to test top hashtag results. This is likely the cause if say your post was appearing in spots 6-9 when logged in on your own account, but would be higher than 9 and outside of the displayed range for other accounts.

If the post is in spot #1 when you're on your account, and its nowhere to be seen from other accounts, then you are ghosted from top hashtag results. I've seen this happen before, and depending on how much they hate you and why, if you just don't post anything for a couple days, you should be unghosted... unless they hate you. It can be caused by buying likes executed with accounts known by IG to be bot likes.
