Guys: Kindle is the Ticket!

Thanks alot for this method mate.
I'm really happy that I found out about this thread exactly thesedays when times are hard for me.
Failed to pay the credit debt for the last 3 months , the case has gone to the judges now , probably even going to lose my house but I know everything's on my shoulders right now , so I'm willing to work anything that comes in front of me to "save" my life & my family's life.
I've been doing CPA + YouTube until now , but YouTube recently killed my strategy with their new algorithm about the retention views, it's all about buying views now and I can't do that since I can't have a PayPal Account from my country where I live in (Kosovo) , so dealing with fake PayPal it's a pain in the ass.

However, no time for complaining .. I'm really glad that I found out this method and I'm going to take actions starting from today !
Just wondering, how does Kindle pays ? Do they send payments via Wire or something else beside PayPal ?

Is it worth putting some sort of "other titles banner" with links inside your book, remember how you always got pictures of other titles on the inside back cover of paperbacks.

On another note, reports today say ebooks sales are up 25-35% on last year

Absolutely! At the end of all my books, I have an About the Author or About the Publisher section where I link to all of my available books on Amazon, as long as they're somewhat similar. I mean, I don't link to Erotica books at the end of Childrens books or anything.

But if you don't link to some of your books, you're missing out!

They pay either by check or by electronic transfer to your bank account. Maybe different for other countries, not sure...

Sorry to hear all your problems, but glad to see you convinced that you can change them!
Amazon pays by wire or electronic transfer if you an US wire account linked to your Epassport card. Not sure if you can do this in Kosovo unfortunately. You have to check before you'll start to work.

In case you decide to start writing and be serious about this but you can't be paid by Amazon, I will help you with the payment.

Now this it the type of attitude we all should adopt, willing to help.

+Rep for you mate.

I wanted to get my feet wet so I took my grandma's cookbook and rewrote some of the recipes and put them into books. I published 2 cookbooks on Kindle and I also used the KDP But I have done it differently I had 2 days for free then 2 weeks of sales then 3 days for free. I have had over 700 downloads per day when I have offered them for free. In fact I had 1187 downloads of a pie book on memorial day. All this to say that YES it does work and yes you can make money at it. I am now working on 2 other books that are Sifi so I am looking forward to seeing how they do.

By the way Gob can you please tell me the website's you were referring to when you said "there are a number of website's that will post Free Kindle books" Can you please post a list of these URL's or PM me a list. Thanks I really enjoyed reading your thread and I learned some new tricks too. Thanks...

Hey Woody, did you use pictures in your cookbooks? My wife wants to make this for the Brazilian market and was wondering if she would need pictures or not...

I did use just a few pictures but none of the food just a picture of my wife as the author and pic of my grandma to give it credibility. You can also use a program that is free to create your Kindle book formatted and ready to go by using Mobipocket Creator. I don't remember if I got it from Amazon or not but if you PM me I will send you the link. I will also send you a link to my books so you can see how I did it. I am not trying to highjack this thread I just want to help if I can.

I am getting about 5 sales a day each and an average of 4 to 5 borrows from the KDP program and they are worth about $2 each to me. So not to bad for my 1st attempt. It has inspired me to keep going. I am trying to find some decent outsourcing for writing and illustrations, but so far the places I have tried have been way too expensive of low quality work. You don't want to create trash you want to give good value and you will get good comments and facebook likes that will help drive your book up to the top of the best seller list for you category. Hope this helps.

Following this! Great ideas all around! Discussion is key, as it may kindle ideas (no pun intended) in people that will take them in a different direction and hopefully work for them, I have some ideas in my head that I want to try now thanks mainly to this thread. Can I ask where you go to have people write your ebooks? I would try Fiverr but Im always worried that I wont get that quality content I need, and they dont usually offer more than a 500 word document. So just wondering where is a good place to find great writers.

Here is a thing. I write a short story about 3500 words. But this is only 7 pages in my OpenOffice and I see other short stories in my niche, they are with 100-400 pages. How much words I need to have 200 kindle pages?

I'm banking with Kindle. I would however be interested in knowing your outsource source. I looked at Elance and it seemed a bit too competitive.

You're making a big mistake in thinking that quantity is the key. It ISN'T. You need to write QUALITY material. Then you give away a sample for free, then follow up by selling the main material at a low price.

I know that quality is the key and if I write 1 more page that will be quality page. But I don't want to get into marketing with 7 page book if other books are 100-300 pages.

Hijack away! This thread is all about offering good Kindle advice, and you've found some success, so that's wonderful! I too have a couple of cookbooks. They do fairly well. The key is proper formatting; so many Kindle cookbooks aren't formatted properly, no table of contents, etc, so if you make one that people can read, you'll already be ahead of the curve.

That is why I use the MobiPocket Creator It will create a TOC that is clickable in Kindle so it makes it work better and be more user friendly. I saw in the Amazon kindle Forum that you can get bad reviews if you don't have a good TOC. But it's all good as long as it makes money and you have good quality content to offer. I hope this helps cuse we all need to make more money or we would not be here.

I just downloaded the Kindle Day Job Killer from BHW Requested by GobBluthJD and delivered by AzonGeek and it has some good links for outsourcing as well as places to advertise your book for free. I haven't gone thru it all yet but so far it looks like there are a few good tips.

Also I can't wait to see GobBluthJD's new program he said he was working on this weekend for Kindle. From what I have seen He has some great shares and a good head on his shoulders so it should be very interesting to read.

Two e-books started along with one partner. One fiction ( my partner is a professional writer) and one non-fiction which will have around 40-50 pages in a cool topic ( but competitive). The fiction book is around 40 pages while the other is at 28 pages. Will keep you posted on how it goes.
