There is no "safe" tool when it comes to automating a main account. It's directly exposed to risks with a % chance to get the account blocked / or temporary suspended.
This is not a public tool I can share, just coded it myself

I want to gain 100/150 followers per day, not following them.
That's why I am looking for alternative strategies that can help me speeding up the process.

Can't say exact hourly limits. The accounts run on randomized intervals throughout the day with a prolonged rest period scheduled roughly around the same time each day.

For follow/unfollow I recommend users that liked your previous posts. For me it has increased the follow back rate.

I have tried mentioning my main account on comments and it yields decent results if you target the right users.

I usually send around 300 comments and get about 10-12 followers. However the users have been filtered out with many variations. For example, number of posts, followers/following, posted in the last 30 days, male or female etc.

The key is finding ways to avoid bots in IG. You need a method to filter all the bots out.

If your script utilizes physical devices, then it's safe as can be when it comes to automation.

Did you code your script yourself or did you find some other tool? I was thinking of integrating some sort of automation using Scrcpy but was wondering if there are any better methods out there.
I bought instadub and realized like a day later that It probably wont be that useful if I want to do M/S automation increasing in scale over time.

You have many slave accounts which send traffic to one main account (Mother). Usually, the slave accounts are botted/automated so they can run on a mass scale. This keeps your main account safe as it's not being botted on itself.
