Growing Snapchat accounts...

So I have obviously heard about lots of people growing adult Snapchat accounts and pushing adult CPA offers to monetize them. But I've wanted to try and grow a different type of Snapchat page. Meme account or giveaway account for example. I know there are a bunch of these already so I know its possible, but unlike Instagram, there just seems to be no information anywhere about growing this kind of account.

Do you just leave your username on a bunch of forums or websites? Do you do sfs? Paid promos? Do you just create a regular account or is there some kind of public account you can create?

Would anyone be able to give me any insight into where I could potentially learn a little more, or even better, if you have some experience with snapchat, would you mind sharing some tips?

I've mastered youtube and I want to move on to something different.
