Got My First Client!

Hey there everyone, I just wanted to post here so I can thank all of you who have helped me with starting up my own offline business!

For other newbies out there, all I did to land this client was reply to nearly a dozen Kijiji / Craigslist ads looking for Web Design / SEO.
I landed this client for $275 web design + logo creation (could be more I know).

I'm just soo damn happy! THANKS AGAIN BHW!

Congrats dude. Though personally I wouldn't do any web design work for less than $400.. That's just me :)

I know I screwed up one the pricing, but right now whats done is done. In the future, I plan on charging $550 for a 5-page site, and $850 for a 8-page site.

And I'll be sure to keep you guys updated with my new clients and whatnot!

Nope, I just browsed through the Graphic / web-design pages on Kijiji and Craigslist and replied to a few people looking for such work. In my opinion the pre-sale was already done, I just had to qualify myself as the guy they want/need.
 
Congrats to you on this. It is wonderful that your hard work is paying off. Do a good job like this and you will be raking in the money with future offers I am sure.

Out of curiosity, how many pages is the site and is the design mainly just a template with a few changes or do you have to actually spend some time on it?

Thanks, and based around what my client told me she wanted for the site, I think I am just going to use a template I found online and edit it to her liking. It should take me 3 hours MAX. Its a simple 5-page site.
 
Wow, congratz. Did she ask for previous work? Or did you just show her your portfolio etc?
 
really the price is 500$ for simple wp site ? wow people are stupid lol this is great
