Can anyone explain what this means? My website is fairly new (Oct 2011), and since then I have been paying for articles with backlinks. I have finally reached page 1 for some of my keywords, but after this change, I can't seem to find where I have been kicked too! I realize that Google is turning off some parts of their link recognition, and how they report that they reflect the first position of a link to your site. It said they reported the average position of all links prior to this change, but what does the other mean? I don't understand about reporting the first position of a link to your site. Is all of that backlinking that I have been doing a waste?

Can you clarify your post. I'm really not sure what you're saying / asking.

Yeah. The same thing was happening to me earlier. I was literally getting mad at my pc, but then I read this and I was, Wow at least I'm not the only one having this problem.

Few months ago I was facing the same problem, in my opinion, carefully monitoring your team will help you.

If you've been creating a lot more backlinks than you should, and haven't been creating enough content, or your backlinking has been inconsistent (1000 first month, 20000 second month, 5000 third month), then Google's just testing out where it thinks you should be.

In regards to checking the link position, it's probably to check if you're getting backlinks from blacklisted and spammy sites with very high OBL. Google's change with linking will probably just be another "don't link to porn." Nothing too serious coming, I believe.

I think your site has been penalized. That is why you cant even find your site in anywhere.

    This is called google sandbox.
