I have noticed recently when I submit a search term & go to the "videos" tab in Google, video results on the first 2 pages are website-hosted videos. Keep in mind, I used pretty broad search terms that should return thousands of YouTube results.
Is Google really bumping unique, embedded content above their own YT video results? I tested 3-5 search phrases in a single session, so not a ton of research here. & it's worth adding this was NOT in the main serps, but rather the "videos" tab serps. Is this their new norm for the time being? & is it worth embedding videos to pages across your website optimized for these results?
