Google Update - May 27th 2022 - What I Have Noticed

Hey Guys,
My website is back in SERPs

Please check yours and confirm. Almost all positions are back. I am seeing my pages back and most importantly to almost where they were before the update. I hope that is the case with you too.

Checked. Lost about 10 more snippets and dropped in rankings even further. Thanks for this. I needed to get depressed a bit more.

Perhaps we need to make some tiny changes and tell Google to crawl our sites again?

Even me... Same situation...

well, my sites are far from pre-update positions and traffic - some 20-70% traffic loss (too few sites to make any smart guess why...).

Anyway, I will continue to grind - update old posts, write new posts, and try to make a link or two here and there ... nothing drastic, since these days, not even Google knows what Google wants ...

for many "buying intent" keywords, my sites are in 5-8 positions, with the first positions being occupied with amazon, youtube, brand names (if my page is a review article), Walmart, eBay, and similar sites.

P.S. When my sites are very close to Amazon, Walmart, and similar sites in SERPs, who knows, maybe I am doing something good ... ;)

I lost 80% of traffic and keywords still dropping as per semrush.. Anyone figure out what is the problem exactly or google just gone rogue...
All of my competitors gone and some random thin content sites suddent starting to appear on first page made like 6 months ago...
if i sum up first page in my niche, first 3 positions ads obviously, then 3 positons of random new created website whose content is clearly generated from AI (because content did not make sense and not even accurate), after that amazon and ebay and then 2 youtube results and in some cases, reddit or some random forum at 9 or 10th position...
it's like serp from 2012....

Your keywords are still on the first page so you're definitely doing something right.
Here's my latest news......

WHITEHAT site is gaining - Blackhat site is losing......
So finally, you're whitehat site is recovering... that's great.

Somebody made a good point about AI content recently. Google uses AI and AI written articles are more optimised so it's easier for google to understand and rank them, even if those articles are rubbish and inaccurate. Maybe, he was right.

Yes, It may be a good point.

Hi guys, I just thought I would share my findings up to now.....

This could just be coincidence, but its something I've noticed.

Maybe this is to combat websites pumping out tons of mediocre AI content ?
CTR got nerfed. EMD's kicking ass. PBNs back in full effect baby. DA (real DA, not manipulated DA) back again with a vengeance. Content. Topical relevancy is strong. So pillar content that links out to sub topics,.

Quality content its the key factor in making money online and i think its the most important one

Hmm, that can be a reason...
