Google update again?!

watching this thread as my SERPs are jumping around GEO wise, they're ranked in some countries and suddenly not...

Noob on it , so the update is affecting what kind of websites etc?
 
It affects all niches. It calls "Medical Update" but it's not just about medical sites.
 
Rank drops across the board on my tech site. It's about 90% white hat as a site, all hand written long quality content. smh google.
 
My site which got affected by the medic update, now gained a huge a rank increase on almost all kws.

It's old news, but it looks like they are still adapting it, doesn't hurt to have it bundled in one thread since it's the same algorithm.

So far so good for me.

Existing sites have at least maintained their rankings, with some increases. Traffic is a little higher and affiliate sales a touch up.

One of my sites that got smashed into oblivion in August has returned for most keywords, albeit at a slightly lower position.

(I'm in the health and fitness niche).
 
I can't find article or guide or case study on how to recover from this ledic update. I went from 14k visitors to 1.5 in 4 months They destroy work of 2 years. Even if we have great articles and Backlinks. Any thoughts guys
 
with google update here and there, it's better to light some jawstick and candles and pray to the google gods! LOL

Have any of the owners of the affected medical sites tried to get the honcode certificate ( www. hon. ch)?

I checked many websites that have this certificate (services. hon. ch/cgi-bin/HONcode/browse.pl?RC=US), even overdue. Almost all websites either have an increase in ranking or no fall in August. Maybe this really makes a big difference to google now?
 
Do you find SERP results to be super weird after the Google update?
In my niche I see pages with low DA and PA, short and low content quality, not mobile friendly (just to mention some!!!) ranking among first 5 SERP results.
High authority pages with high DA, good BL profile and good content all pushed back to page 3/4 or not ranking at all.

Is there something wrong with this new Google algorithm?

I changed my site a bit, and deleted few underperforming articles, and updated my money articles. But at the and none of it made the trick until google decided that my site is useful.
