Google update again?!

I agree, too. Speed can be a negative factor if you have a really slow loading site, but over a certain threshold, speed improvements don't improve rankings.

I have one website that lost some visitors, any Google algorithm today/yesterday?

Yes, there was a massive update yesterday/today. One of my client's website took a drubbing due to mobile speed issues. Mobile speed is a major factor imo.

My site is lightning quick and got murdered by the updates. While speed is something I think it's overvalued unless your site is in the bottom quartile performance wise.
Is your site on page #1 or was it?

...Google be tossing guys here and there! This is why I prefer doing seo part time, and social media marketing full-time. I'm seriously tired of catching cold whenever Google sneezes. Lol!

Some good links, if you want to use search engine on internet:

duckduckgo.com - plenty of results
bing.com - plenty of results, image results are awesome
yahoo.com - old, but, hey, they still have results...

if you do not want more than 1 or 2 pages with lots of pdfs, magazines and books, while you are searching for completely different things, then use this:
google.com

ps, do not use last one if you are ill and looking for a treatment. cheers...

Why not support bing.com or duckduckgo stand against google. I know its a long shot and they have 99% of the search market bla bla bla. .......

Just think about it. Give it 2 seconds in your mind. Every webmaster here and in other big forums will add a small banner to support bing. Just 500k sites send a 10 visites per day to bing Thats 5M per day. That's 150M per month at least.

Lets send a message to google that without our content you are nothing

Just think about it. Every big or small website will support us.
Because everyone of them are sick from this nonsense updates and this new results with shopping ads. Adword ads. Videos from their platforme. Answers pulled from our content

I'm just throwng something into the convo that came across my desk the other day. It seems with this latest Google algo change they have massively factored in the speed that the site loads. I got a few recommendations about server speed, caching, load speeds and the one that really caught my eye was "mobile load speed" and Google is looking at under 1 seconds times as "ACCEPTABLE" so that kind of set me to thinking about how to best optimize large sites for that kind of load speed. I am not gonna lie I AM NOT Even close to being proficient in the optimzation part nor am I an expert on hosting servers etc,. so Google looking at all that would scare me to death if I had a very large site.

Would using amp as the mobile version work? It can almost certainly come close to 1 second load times.

Was first page for hundreds of terms. Lost about 85-90% of our Google traffic. Our website hits everything in their guidelines. Under 2 second load time all pages. Mobile responsive. Not over optimized or keyword stuffed. Content has visible author. Contact and about page easy to see. Privacy and terms easy to see. Cookie opt in. Thorough and accurate content that links to appropriate pubmed studies. 1200+ referring domains. All whitehat links on real websites.

Took 3 years to build. All around one niche. Got demolished. Completely destroyed. Only 18% bounce rate average as well. So the content answers the query...

I'm a bit dumbfounded by the update tbh. I'm really hoping it's a split test by Google. Because I can't imagine how we could go from being the trusted answer for so many terms for so long to being nowhere to be found.

Rankings have just gone back to what they were before these updates again. Wonder how long it will last this time.

Some weird keywords are getting ranked rather than the regular ones.

For a few days my ranking returned to normal, but started to see weird results again since yesterday or so. My main page disappeared and some random page which I deleted 10 days ago is ranking for my main money keyword.

Wish people would switch to Bing, I am fed up with this. Google is doing AB testing on live search results and it costs me thousands...

For me I think this update has a lot of impact but from my observation I do think it's a lot about users intent.

I think some of the keywords may contain many user intent and many times google just decided to rank on another intent that is not ours.
But for you to rank for multiple kws on page one and lost 85-90% ranking....that's really weird.

Serprobot.com and proranktracker.com are great. I'm currently using Serprobot since it's cheaper, was using proranktracker before that. You can't go wrong with any of these rank trackers

The tracking is ok with serprobot but ignore the volume numbers as quite often they are incorrect.

HA HA Here as well. I thought i accidantly left keywords in my ser but there is nothing. Seems google like 3 - 4 words KWds like never before

Some kw's which were ranking at the first or second positions are now ranking at the bottom of the 3rd or 4th page. And some kw's which weren't ranking before are now at the front page.

Very hard to rely on Google traffic these days. My main website is down 80% since the summer.

Health niche here
Seeing a huge ROLLBACK of 1st August.
Most of the dropped keywords are going up again since yesterday, but mostly today. Gained plus 30-40 contemporary users in anaytics real-time statistics.
