Google update again?!

I am starting to see a lot of expired domains reuse as a money site in health niche.
This made me think twice if I should put my new articles on my current site (which could be de-valued by google already) or should I buy expired authority domain and put the contents on it.
Some of the domains that rank #3-4 position on my target keyword don't even have health related backlinks point at it.
And the domain name is ridiculous something like "city-conference.com" ....on health keyword wtf???

Just noticed on one of my tech blogs many keywords are down from first page top 5 results to page 2 or 3 while some other kw's remain untouched on 1st page, and as a result traffic drop by 40% (this was for yesterday, now i refreshed the ranking and most of kws are back on their positions) This happens every few days some kws go up but they not hold for long and then drop again, i dont build any links just what i get natural way on content. On the other website noticed this morning huge drop -38 -45 for few keywords that we try to rank they were stable 3-4 weeks #12 #11 mostly on page 2 all links from guest posts sites with 100k+ traffic, this is authority site more than 1m visits p/m.. i refreshed ranking now its + but not back to old positions. This keyword dance on daily basis is very unpredictable, whatever do hard to get fast and stable results..
 
Another update - most keywords are stabilized but some have still large volatility. Very often I see some random page of mine rank instead of the main money page. Then it returns to normal. Like if the two pages would compete against each other (keyword canibalization) but it doesnt make any sense, because the pages are about a different topic.
 
Again an update today ?!? i'm losing all my traffic

It is very strange, volatility at its maximum. One question I had for you and anyone else please, what tools do you use to actively check your keyword rankings? There are hundreds, but which ones would you recommend? I know Ahrefs has a keyword tracker but it doesn't seem comprehensive enough as it only shows a partial history for only the keywords you choose. What are your thoughts? Thank you
 
A week or 2 after my rankings returned to their normal place, they have all started dropping again.

Serprobot.com and proranktracker.com are great. I'm currently using Serprobot since it's cheaper, was using proranktracker before that. You can't go wrong with any of these rank trackers

I noticed the same thing.. That's strange
 
On one of my niches I am seeing a different page 1 one day and then totally different the next day besides 2/3 sites always being there..
 
Are 2 months all my sites are become crazy (ALL sites, not just only one. ALL).
Day 1 - 2nd page
Day 2 - 5th page
Day 3 - 3rd page
Day 4 - Disappeared
Day 5 - 2 page
Day 6 - 7 page
Day 7 - Disappeared
.....
.....
Every day I wake up I don't know where my sites will be.
It seems every day G rolls the dice to decide in which page put on my sites.
How can we do business in this way?

How many sites are you talking about and are they in the same category/niche?
Are they all on the same server?

Would be interesting to know. I hope your sites get back soon.

From 1 Aug till 15 Oct: Drop by almost 90%
From 16 Oct till yesterday : Fully recovered(and even gained a bit)
Today: Drop by 75% overnight

Niche: Electronics

Frustating...

4 sites, same local category/niche.
Same hosting company but different servers (IPs) + Cloudflare on all of them (different CF NameServers and different CF IPs).
It is really frustrating.
