Google update again?!

Bloody hell, they actually lost almost 2 million organic traffic. Madness!

How about draxe.com. Going by semrush went from 13.5 million organic in July to 2.9 million in October. Painful just looking at that one... massive hit in August, and just keeps sliding lower.

Speaking about EAT: Site of a leading magazine in a european country, print magazine founded before 1950, available in about 10 countries/languages. Print version has about 350K copies biweekly. They get exclusive previews from manufacturers, exclusive industry interviews, exclusive first reviews, their jounalists get invited to trade fairs, they get invited as experts for TV shows whenever there is something on TV about their topic. Pretty much THE authority in their niche. Backlinks? 120 wikipedia, 17 universities, a dozen goventment sites, all leading manufacturers, links from pretty much every newspaper in the world, about 13k linking domains in total.

ahrefs: Went from 2.8 million organic to 1.4 million organic since the medic update, a 50% drop. There isn't any competitor that remotely touches their experience, authority and expertise.

but like everyone you new not to put all eggs in one basket be honest .

while times was good should of done a diffrent project .

must really hert thu

and you was fully legal correct

what was you income to know,?

now here is a case where a legit website with solid data, can take a legal action against google
but can they .

if Google say we are not allowing a certain niche to be indexed no more , can it be thrown in court .

there must be a goverment reason it has all happen and google been warned .

i did here on the news about to much imported drugs that are un licenced sold online.

a thu days a go , on news a doctor complaining about un licenced dangrous drugs online .

on the radio talks about under age children geting weapon from amazon online

becouse of the brexit, and importing changes , thu all countrys, i think that reason of the clamp down on sercuity importing un licensed drugs online my opinion .

i think google trying to show all countrys that un licensed drugs will be ban forever even if it means de indexing even legal websites.

in uk , has boots been effected or other online pharmarcys , be intresting.

Good advice, but not every project is equally successful, you can't build winner after winner. It's the old pareto principle and if Google hits those 20% of you sites making you 80% of the money, even diversification won't help much. No matter if you have 5, 10 or 50 or even 100 sites.

It still jumps up and down for me. I see absolutely no pattern in it.

I could even see one of my very old web 2.0 that I built using auto translated content in TOP5, on a wordpress subdomain for a very important money keyword without backlinks while at the same time my money site was nowhere to be found. Then 30 minutes later I am again in TOP 1-3 and the rankings look normal. What the hell is going on.

As a "random" info. I have a site in "animal niche" of which main topic are dogs.
For the keywords I track I see the following:
1 particular keyword
1 rank - telegraph.co.uk (well, ok, I guess? Can't fight the DA9x sites.)
2 rank - some dog site (that's fine)
3 rank - healthline.com
Yes, healthline. :D And the keyword is nothing related to "health" in anyway (like "dog health" or something).
4-6 results - some dog sites.
7th result youtube.

etc.

Seems that healthline has such high "EAT" that it ranks in unrelated niches as well.

Healthline is a real phenomenon, especially since many sites who lost significantly are pretty heavy on ads. They skyrocketed, although the number of ads is often 10+ on a single page, the whole sidebar is filled with ads, above content, below content, in between content. The ones in content even stay sticky on the top when scolling down. Plus a newsletter overlay. Their ad and sponsorship policy is just a fig leaf. They talk about how they only accept ads that aren't deceptive or harmful etc. Sounds really good, but have a look at some weight loss articles and you'll find the same "lose 10 pounds a week" bogus supplement ads you see everywhere, the same "click here" ads that look like navigation instead of an ad.

Another update: most of my keywords are back. Some even higher than before. The SERPs are starting to make sense again. Although some keywords are still not fully stabilized, but its nowhere bad as before. So fingers crossed, looks like its normal again.
Also as of today I started to see a box with my particular impressions/clicks/average position directly in the search results (data is pulled from Search Console) for the particular keyword.

I am not in a health niche, but still wondering about the EAT thing. Would it be helpful if I would add the telephone number, address, company name etc. on the website?

This is getting ridiculous. One of my PBN sites that has a link to my money site and has 5 backlinks (3 naked, 2 keyworded links) got to first page, position 6, for the keyword I am trying to rank. My site is now on position 25 for this keyword. The PBN site is "general", not niche specific. It holds articles on travel, fashion, health etc. It's now sitting on first page for a 1600 search/month keyword while my progress for this particular keywords is the following:

The PBN site DA is 40, my money site DA is 56.

I don't know how much longer can I stand by and watch this shit.

Yeah, happened to me too, as I wrote it in this thread (#731). My PBN websites appeared in TOP10 and my money site went to some distant page. But for me it was so bad only for the last 2-3 weeks.

a common theme between you two: your PBN's are not getting any backlinks and your moneysites are. maybe, just maybe, for your niche the backlink velocity is a factor. I am just guessing and pulling something out of my behind.... your thoughts?

It's not link velocity, seeing the many parasites that rank, too, it looks more like Google is preferring sites without ads, that's what hacked parasites (cloaking/redirect) and PBNs have in common.

I don't think it's link velocity (although I agree that this can be a factor), because I was building links to this PBN post in the beginning of the year, so it can't be that. It's just messed up. Even the image from that PBN post is ranking before my image in images.google.com. I really don't understand how.
