google title shows different titles on each keyword

Example when I search site:domain.com it shows the correct title
When I search site name it shows domain.com as title
when I search domain + keyword it shows correct title

domain.com is a example I am giving since I don't wish to disclose my url

Google chooses the meta it sees the most fit for the particular search query. Absolutely nothing you can do about it. Meta is merely a suggestion for Google. Not a must.

Google these days is a total mess. Especially if the articles are new and not established, the titles and meta will be all over the place.

Definitely, although it is not as common as seeing them change the descriptions.

For example in your case, you searched the brand name so Google made sure to associate your search snippet with the brand name.

Other cases can include appending a location to the end of the title such as a city, I remember reading about this on SERoundtable a few months ago.

its just how google meta operates.
 
OP dont worry about meta for site:domain name query.

No one is going to search your domain using site operator except may your competitor.
 
lol I should've read this sooner I changed all my titles thinking I can get a quick fix. When it comes to seo I suck. After a day after the update it chucked me to the third page from 1st page position 2 lol
 
I don't know what to think about it. It came back to 1st page 2nd result only to go all the way back to 3rd page in matter of hours.
 
are you including "," "|" or "-" in your title by any luck?
