Even if i do all white hat they still can drop our positions, anyone can link some guide how to avoid it?
I think it has been way too long for Google to not be able to fix this stuff since the May update. There are two scenarios I see here, either way, Google is actually using a new Ai that is still a newbie and needs to improve the search results. or they are obviously ranking big authority sites and pushing the rest down, this way they make their investors happy with Adwords...
In the end, it's obvious that Google has been greedy and changed a lot last years and you can notice this from all the antitrust lawsuits against the company.
I don't understand why some people still think that the latest 2020 updates could be with errors on the Google side. There are no errors and there won't be any fix. They want high authority domains on top it is the easiest ranking signal for their algorithm and hardest for everyone else to cheat or fake and that's the way it is. It's very hard to stay on top now or to rank new domains. I think that the best alternative is to find ways to benefit from paid traffic.
You are right. It is unlike Google to take this long to fix things. They have taken longer this time, and they don't seem to have an exact timeline on when the services will resume.
Well for me it looks like Google went back to whatever they were doing before the last update.
Reversal?
My rankings went back to what they were 2 updates ago.
I still think Google is struggling with whatever they did in May 2019.
Wait the websites you managed recovered to pre-May rankings? I haven't notice anything on my end, hell I'd even say it has gotten worse.
Anything specific you guys did?
unfortunately what someone does for one niche is not applicable to another niche. this is why single variable testing is so difficult these days.
yeah it looks your site took a dump on that day.

Enough of waiting. Im going to do a 301 redirect. Let’s see if it’s working
I have more than recovered in the last 7 days. The nice keyword I use to be #4 for, I am now #2. After the big update I was always around #7
On top of that I am ranking better for everything. This is what I did:
Added way more content - I focused on expertise, such as: how 'myproduct' is made. I also made 50 local location pages about where to find my product in each city (the articles were somewhat helpful, but mostly told them they should use my website instead). One thing I did different for the first time since 2012, was link out to trusted websites without nofollow, such as tripadvisor or a gov website. I also had nofollow links to shopping centers for the locations. Each location article was about 300 words, giving me about 15,000 new words total. I am also #1 for many location terms which bring the old sale in.
Built more HQ links - I built some more relevant links, but I also branched out into general news website with high DR. The articles were very legit and included several other external links. I always have my main keyword close the the external link, I rarely use my direct keywords in my links but when I do they are always LSI and very random with extra generic words included in the anchor.
Built random links to my inner pages. such as 1 link for a product - I did not care about ranking it, I just wanted more deep links dotted around
Improved my product descriptions from 150 words to 400
Added an address on my site with a phone number and built many UK citation listings. (I did this back in May and never saw any help from it, until maybe now?)
The last change I made was 2 weeks before my big serp increase. I changed my page titles and took out optimization for my keywords. I stripped the keyword out of the text on my website, my keyword appears just once on the page and a LSI style in the page title. Plenty of LSI terms are used in the article, but my keyword is used just once
Good luck!
In my niche content currently doesnt matter. A guy with 1 sentence posts is dominating serps...
Literally one sentances? Is he breaking up articles into questions and doing 1 post per question? could be interesting if that works
