Something strange start yesterday with one of my project. I've checked and my serp position is not changed but I've this jump

And the most strange thing is that traffic coming form google .com/search.
What the hell is google dot com slash search? (if I type in browser bar it redirects to google dot com).

Anyone experienced a situation like this during this update / canonical & index bug?
Someone may be sending Bot traffic with referrer google.com/search but I am not too sure. Let's see what others have to say about it.

Could be bot traffic, but in the search engine terms there are my keywords.

As said, per my observation, positions are not changed.

Seen a difference in income? I mean with such a huge jump that is your best clue if it's not bots.

That site is not monetized with CPM / CPA / affiliate programs.

So jump in traffic does not mean major incomes.

That site sells a very specific product (expensive).

Due the nature of the product I make 3/4 sales per month.

24 hours is not a valuable time frame to understand if my income will jump or not.

If this goes on much longer, SEMrush & co are going to have to change their SERP tracking thresholds; high is the new normal?

Just thinking: we haven't had a confirmed update since head of Google search changed, have we? I'm kind of starting to wonder if Prabhakar wants to take things in a new direction, and not announce core updates?

Or of course, Google could just be broken / scared of lawsuits / waiting till after elections / deliberately f*cking up organic SERPs to increase clicks on ads... So many theories!

Nothing seems fixed.
Sensors are still high today.
1 month already elapsed.

I'm a bit lost now, not sure if it's still a bug not fixed or an update of some sort or both. Seeing weird movements for competition, which has a lot more authority than me at this moment.

Is this the new and bizarre world of Google?

What do you think of this?

Not complaining too much as the site is still young, but it's strange to see the spikes and then... hitting the bottom.

Have been seeing huge swings on my sites as well for the past days. Mostly trending upwards but the volatility is crazy high it seems.
