    Hello,

I was wondering how Google would rank my website if I did the following:
    - Grab a lot of English SEO content from a random competitor website
    - Put the content in Google translate and translate it to a foreign language (like Chinese) --> Grammar and word order would be shit, but the SEO keyword will still be there and the content will pass copyscape
    - Put the Google translated content on a brand new domain

Will this still be duplicate content in the eyes of Google? I'm aware that by using these methods Google will penalty the website once they find out the content isn't that readable, looking for short term rankings with a real lot of content.

maybe hand clean it a little after translation to fix simple mistakes. Should buy you a little more time before getting penalized. Though that depends on how long you need it to last.

If you want to rank translated web pages and you've translated your pages using Google translate or other machine translation tools, you may affect your rankings and contravene Google's own Webmaster Guidelines, according to Google themselves.

I've been ranking sites with translated content, however I used to rewrite the articles manually to make them readable. Don't forget that Google can backwards translate translated content to find the original article.
