I received the same message as everyone else "Spam", anyway i made some changes and removed a plugin Gtranslate.
When i submit the first time to recheck the blog, i see a huge crawler increase on the plugin URLs (I use PHP to check each IP accessing my blog with my custom plugin)
First resubmit to Google Webmasters Tools in 12 hours i got an answer and rejected to add back on Google.
Now already been 24 Hours and still been no answer from Google Support, so not sure if i found out what was the main issue or not, still waiting for the answer.

I have 6 out of 500+ pages which are AI generated and I just checked serp and it seems like those pages dropped in ranking but the manually written content is absolutely fine.
So I'm a bit shocked to hear that G punished all your 170 pages just because of 2 AI pages... That's insane.

Sorry - I have 294 indexed pages, around 170 posts - my seo terminology needs some work......
Anyway it's completely fuc**d up - I can't make sense of it, I'm getting close to zero traffic the last couple of days.....
There is obviously something they don't like - I'll see how it pans out over the next couple of weeks, look into it and adjust from there
My initial thoughts are lack of new backlinks, (domain had a strong, relevant backlink profile when I bought it) not sticking to a regular content schedule and lack of Social signals has played a part in it......

So you have pretty much what I have... this makes me think that you were NOT penalised for those 2 AI posts. Just my 2 cents.
Yeah, unfortunately, I have to agree that velocity plays an important role (links and content).

Same! i am too Facing this issue but the twist is my Pages are indexed. but they are not Ranking. i usually get 25k Impression on daily basis and Not it Dropped directly to 9K. where my Majority of targeted Keywords and some Keywords which i was not targeting primary but there ranking dropped they are not in top 100

I used this plugin for a long time to ...
So when i first request review after the "Spam" notification
The Google crawler insane jump on the translate pages, /jp/ or /es/ etc.
So in the first request, before i got the new alert with spam and the blog didn't was fixed message from Google and i saw a huge crawler scan via translate pages.
After Google sent the message that "The website hasn't been fixed" i saw a drop in the crawler on the translate pages.
So after checking this information i gather, i decide to remove the translate plugin, and request it back to Google.
So after i request the second time, i see again a huge crawler on the translate pages only.
So 99% is translate pages crawler ...
So first request in 12 hours i have the answer "no" from Google, now even after 24 hours still no answer, and still a big crawler on the translate pages.
I just said my experience here, I'm not sure if this fixed the issue, till i don't get an answer from Google i can't know but hope this can help some other webmasters study and share their own experiences trying to fix their blogs/websites.

I got 3 posts out of 50 that were ai generated. Already had them removed in GSC but seems that I've been killed off here too. The site is still indexed but I see it keeps swallowing organic kws every 5-10min on Ahrefs until I reach zero traffic I presume.
