Google March 2024 Core Update Released: bigger than before!

Nothing at all... It is as if the update hasn't been rolled out.

This is very abnormal as Google updates are usually felt within 24 hours of its release/announcement. This one has been hyped to be 'huge' and 'bigger than before' but it is so quiet.

Then again they already said it will take a month to happen... So maybe it will be a slow, gradual release.
Usually you "feel" the update, as you said it, a few days before they release it.... There was a small boost in traffic for all of my sites, 10-20% towards the end of Feb.

Today i have the biggest surprise when i see my big blog website was fully removed from Google ... 4-year-old blog was fully removed ... Reason? I still have no idea ... i tried to check via Google Webmasters Tools and no information as to why the blog was removed ... and when i try to submit a link to scan via Google Webmasters Tools hope i can see any issue they keep showing the message:

The problem is i have this error via Google Webmasters Tools past few days ... so this is a new way Google is telling us the Websites will be fully removed soon from Google? My other websites are showing the data but few of them have the same issue ...
Yeah the same I don't see my blog at all in Google search.

Basically another way of saying we messed up last time we’re trying to fix it this time and if it won’t work we will be back with a new update lol. With traffic dropping rapidly wonder if web publishers even care about these updates

I don't know if you read their announcement about "“site reputation abuse,” but they gave authority sites like Forbes 2 months notice to remove their shitty reviews.

It just goes to show, once again, that the big sites get special treatment.

The good old days of SEO are gone. The days when you could create a great website with great content, add some good backlinks, expect your website to at least rank in the Top 20 or 30, and then build your way up to the Top 5, are gone. Now it's all filtered, all censored. Can anyone take them seriously anymore after their racist Gemini AI disaster? Google just keeps committing suicide. At this point, even TikTok's algorithm is more reliable.

Interesting, I saw the saw the same - a small increase around the end of Feb

I'll wait and see if anything happens this month

Because Google is just a big bully who knows they can get away easily if they mess with small publishers.

They know if they mess with Forbes or any big publishers sites, they can get sued or they will be covered negatively by them (news sites). So preferential treatment is given to them.

Yeap, their entire management needs to go. Whether is it Pikachu CEO, or JohnMu or Danny Sullivan in the search department, or the sales department who orchestrated with the search team to manipulate the search results layout just for ad revenue.

If this keeps going on, Google will become the next Yahoo... or even Dogpile or Altavista. The search quality has been horrendous. What's worse is when these Googlers (JohnMu, for example) still openly mocks affected webmasters and made sarcastic remarks on X/Twitter.

We have never seen anything innovative from Google since this Pikachu guy took over... All they do is milk their existing products and services to the extreme - more ads on Google search; routine shuffling and poor search results; more ads on Youtube; etc. Their engineers came up with the GPT framework but openAI beat them to it and led the AI race with such a huge gap. When OpenAI released Sora; Google's gemini had to stop image generation due to wokeness. What a joke.

I truly miss the old lovable Google... The current Google has huge a stinky reputation now. I can't help but see them as evil as Monsanto or some greedy corporation.

There was an interesting piece released a few days about growing calls for a change at the top of Google

Let me see...

Google was not happy with small publishers trying to gain authority through a) expired domains, b) more relevant content creation en masse with AI, and c) parasite SEO.

Gotcha.

Every ranking dominated by Forbes (or equivalent) and Reddit (or equivalent). The writing is literally painted on the wall now. These rules simply won't apply to them. Google wants big corporations to compete and pay for ad space and the regular people to move to Reddit in order to feed AI with source information.

Google really is shitting their pants in fear of scaled AI content taking over... They just don't have a real solution to the problem and have completely given up, opting for a downright lazy and cheap one. They lost the AI race and are trying desperately to catch up, collateral damage be damned.

Now one needs to buy even more backlinks to replace the authority juice from expired/parasite ones.

Google is always there to propagate their propaganda.
It is always hide and seek game.

You will see, there is always hacks to implement.

We just have to find the new one.

But there will always be something.

But before that, let's see how much they could implement their words in action. Ha ha ha.

Don't worry black hat guy!!!

(Guys! Don't believe everything they say.)

Did you try to make site:yourweb? The same thing happens to me in GSC but my site is still indexed...
Let's see what Google does.

Expired domains were being abused already to a big extent by bloggers, so this was expected from Google. But we will find new ways to trick Google.

really weird because i never used black hat etc ... and the blog was 4 years old ... and to just get wiped from Google for no reason is really weird ... i still don't see any reason on Google Webmasters Tools ... waiting to see if can be fixed in anyway ...

I'm eargerly looking forward to how this would impact expired domains.
