Google index api for streaming site??

Hello
I have website with embedded movies. Do u think using Google index api is good way or nah?

totally bad idea, your website will get somehow penalized after a few weeks,
i've tested this with a dozen of testing websites and most of them got penalized,
you won't be able to rank, posts/pages will get out of the index after a couple of hours/days & many won't even get indexed

My primary idea is to get traffic from social media marketing. But still want to be indexed on Google. So you consider to just use GSC? Btw when google will penalised my site will be my Google account be penalised too?
 
Google API can be good for indexing and can be efficient but it has is own limitation.

No, there's no manual actions for sure, it's more like a shadow ban for your website in the SERPs,

You don't have to worry about your account,
Just add the website to GSC, submit a sitemap and Google will crawl the pages eventually
 
I don't understand why people are so negative towards the indexing API. I have a WordPress plugin that automatically indexes content with the indexing API when new content is published. It works quite well and I have not encountered any negative effects, and my rankings are at reasonable levels.
 
I have seen many people buy Google News-approved domains and build sites on them to get rid of indexing issues.

are you also in the movie streaming niche?? Because I tend to agree with @hideath , I've heard more than once that google API doesn't work with this niche. Can you please confirm?

No, I'm in a different niche. If your pages are already being indexed over time, and they're of sufficient quality, I believe the indexing API will just speed that up a bit.

I've observed that while the indexing API doesn't work on some of my sites, it effectively works on my more authoritative sites. My advice to you is to submit a request to index a URL using the indexing API. Then, check within 10 minutes to see if you receive a Googlebot request for that URL.

I don't care much about when a URL is indexed or not; what's most important to me is for the URL to be visited and its content crawled.

If you don't receive a Googlebot request within 10 minutes after you've submitted the request (usually, you should receive the request within seconds), I would suggest indexing it through GSC. Still, I find the idea that you would be penalized just for using an indexing API very far-fetched (as long as your pages aren't low quality, spammy, etc.).

yeah, but authority sites get crawled and indexed all the time anyway, because google loves big sites. The problem is always with the smaller ones and the shady niches like movie streaming :)
