Google Dance? Really?

I've had similar experience happening to my new website that I built, it is an authority blog, the only different between me and the OP was that I used Senuke program to do my offpage SEO.

What happened is basically I've been hovering around page 15 to 18 in google with a very competitive keyword, The image I have on my blog post was ranking 3th or 4th, then I started using senuke and my image dropped to the end of 2nd page, it's been there for couple of days now, and my page has disappeared, not even in the first 80 pages, is this a penalty or dancing?

I beem researching a lot about it and I seem to come out with the explanation for what is happening to my friend, from what I read it says that every Google in each country has a different datacenter so for, example Google Portugal access to a datacenter in Portugal or to the closest datacenter for example in Ireland and Google US access on their datacenters on US or the one most near them for example Canada, but, the thing is that not all datacenters update their information in the same speed, so for example the results you see on Google.com (US) are different that the results you find on Google.pt (Portugal) because their datacenter are slower so, it takes longer to update and that happens when you access from different IPs but, basically what the US SEO company sees is what is going to happen in Google Portugal in a couple o days or even weeks but, since it's accessed from US the information is more new that the information when is accessed locally because their results are different depending where is accessed from.

I am not sure if I am making a lot of sense here, but, for me makes sense but, the short story is that servers are better in US than in Portugal and information is more fresh if accessed from an american IP than a local (Portugal) IP because their servers are faster so, they updated faster and the information is more fresh. And I believe to be true because that happens also a lot with Google Places, when you changes position it takes like a couple of days to take effect.

Do I make sense? Can someone tell me if what I read makes sense at all?

Yes, local Google searches (try to) return locally relevant search results. That's why one should always check their rankings for each individual/target country via that country's Google and a proxy in that specific country.

first of all I would like to thank everyone here for their help and I want to let you know that the issue it's been solve!!

The problem it seems that Google's Datacenter that are us for Google Portugal are a lot slower than Datacenters from Google US, so basically what the SEO company was seeing is what was going to happen in Google Portugal but, for some reason for people from Portugal that access Google Portugal it takes longer to update new results that from people who access it from US. But, it basically its about 3 days difference, after the third day my friend saw all results that the company show him and with a diference maybe of 3 to 5 ranking positions.

Hello guys I would like to ask a question as I'm a newbie in SEO. I managed to get my website on the first page of Google. After that I decided to add a back-link for another blog that I have. Then I pinged my website and today my website jumped from #3 to #5 and then #53 and now is on position 63! Is this a dance or a penalty? Also could this be because of the ping?
