I am selling dedicated monthly Romanian 4G proxies. I am issuing one hour free trials. I have targetted related keywords in my Google ads campaign, mainly for searches like "cheap mobile proxies," "buy cheap mobile proxies" and other related searches.

I had set a budget of 1000 USD for my marketing campaign, I have spent $640+ and until now I have been able to find only one paying customer that has bought 3 proxies. I thought there'd be a big enough market for low cost high quality non-US 4G proxies that I could make good profits from which I haven't been able to prove yet.

Has anybody experienced something similar? Or if anyone can help me by pointing what I am doing wrong I'd be so thankful.

The same discussion I am having with my SEA Manager friend: SEA is for those, who don't know SEO.
Is your target group International (yes it is) Go translatepress, pay someone for a kw research and onpage. Buy backlinks

Or redirct a Page with an existing Wikipedia Backlink

Try using the phrase "cheap mobile proxies for crypto." That might get you more views.

Just try remarketing lists for search ads, only show your ads to people who already visited your trial page. They cost less per click and convert much better.

Your targeting might be too broad. Try narrowing it down by focusing on use cases like sneaker bots, social media automation, or web scraping, and align your landing page with those. Also consider testing other traffic sources like forums (BHW, Nulled), Reddit, or Telegram groups where proxy users actually hang out. Direct outreach and affiliate deals can also help get early traction.

OP Sometimes targeting keywords like “cheap proxies” attracts people who just want free trials or aren’t ready to buy. You might want to shift the focus a bit more toward quality and reliability rather than price. Also, make sure the transition from free trial to paid is really clear and easy. There’s definitely demand out there, but it can take a few tweaks to start seeing real conversions.

That’s rough — sorry to hear you’re burning through so much ad spend without decent ROI. Quick question: what’s your landing page like? Sometimes it’s not just the traffic but how it’s being converted.

I’ve run small campaigns for similar offers (not proxies but other recurring digital services) and found that even small tweaks to the funnel — like adding clear USPs, trust badges, or a simple calculator showing monthly savings vs competitors — made a big difference.

Also curious, did you try retargeting those visitors who took the free trial but didn’t buy? Could be low-hanging fruit.

It happened to me as well. If you not getting a good ROI I would stop the campaign.

Totally get where you’re coming from, the 4G proxy space looks like easy money from the outside, but it’s brutally niche, and converting traffic is way harder than it seems. I would go with "social proof"

→ Show screenshots, testimonials, uptime graphs, even Discord or Telegram chat links for live help. Trust wins this market.
