Please help, looking for a WP alternative that is lightweight, easy to use and SEO friendly.
What is your recommendation?

The first thing that comes to my mind - Joomla!

But why you want use the alternative of Wordpress? it's the most used (so it works better than others), powerful, clean and fast CMS in the world

Blogger custom domain, no need to prepare a hosting, many modern template premium and free, easy to use, easy to tweak, SEO friendly also, easy to migrate to other engine cause its running on simplenHTML make its light weight :) just my opinion :D

Try Drupal.. But to me Wp is always universe..

For something different, in Python, try Nikola.
Nikola Github
I love static site generators, there are two features that are behind Wp (post/page editor and commenting system). You can find workarounds for these and if it doesn't bother you too much, the final result can be much better than many wordpress sites.

as others say... what is wrong with wp? .. i am starting with creating a site and read a lot.. so i can tell you that wp is for now the best option, is fast and easy to use.
On the other hand drupal is faster but leanring curve is bigger... about joomla.. i read that is not as fast as wp and community has been reduceding year after year...

Maybe a ClassicPress? It's still a wordpress with some features removed.

Drupal and Joomla, but both are not nearly as begginer friendly and don't have such a huge community of people using them as WP

WP has its flaws - that's for sure, but if your top priority is getting something easy-to-use, then WP is the first thing that comes in mind.

You have a dozen of Landing Page builders like Unbounce , Squarespace, etc, but they don't offer an entire CMS with all its customizations - therefore, those might be easier to use but they're not WP alternatives per se.

Hi Larry, what about pelican, another static site generator written in Python, which seems a little more popular than Nikola? Do you have any experience for it? I am myself looking for a lightweight alternative to WordPress at the moment and still compare the pros and cons of some candidates.
