WOW ! That's a good helpful comparison table ! Yep wordpress is more seo fliexible than any website builder like squarespace or godaddy site builder I bet the categories in the godaddy site builder are the same as in squarespace; not dynamic they are static.
When I type in the brand name from your brothers website in google, does his godaddy site builder webiste comes up with multiple serp listings from his category pages?
Can you build a dynamic category page like this with the godaddy site builder; bloomberg.com/europe (it's a big content hub) ?
Moment not so fast my friend....it matters a lot if the category pages in a cms system are dynamic or not. Godaddy site builder and Squarespace as examples, their category pages are not dynamic, bi ssites dominate google first page with multiple serp listings, but when you categories are not dynamic and you not have access to a robots.txt file, to set categories to index and (dofollowxx...) you will lost a lot of seo real estates in google. From this point of view google not handles all cms systems equally.
Squarespaces site isn't developed much to that. Why can't you use SHOPIFY site instead?
Problem with the GD site builder; yes it's so easy to use lovely! But the catch is, your posting limit is 500 posts then GD stops you, And today 500 blog posts is nothing to gain multiple seo visibility. Ahhh...... these damm limits. And always living with the high risk of their rude policy to get copyright infringement from another big company who hosts their site with GD then they will shutdown your whole site and account.
