GoDaddy site rank well?

Hi BHW fam,

I recently started a new blog site using the godaddy website builder. I have a lot of experince on wordpress but none on Godaddy or any other website builders.
My question is, does it play a big role SEO wise the fact that i used godaddy? Will the ranking process be the same as usual?

Thank you in advance for any feedback :)
When you have category pages, does your site shows up multiple listings in the serps?

godaddy or other domain and hosting selling platfroms has no role in ranking. yes hosting or server speed matters in ranking but there are other ways to improve the speed. So to answer your question No godaddy or other sites does not play any role in ranking.

There is no difference. The builder is just a builder, it's how you build your website that will make a difference not what you build it on or with.

Thanks for the reply :) Yeah I have stopped using GODaddy, super expensive, not safe to use with blackhat/grey hat sites ( I asked them on the phone and they basically said they will give all your info haha) anyways in general was not happy with GoDaddy at all.

CMS doesn't matter for ranking. But Wordpress is suitable for doing SEO task due to it's own plugin.

Yes, GoDaddy sites generally rank well in search engine results

I've not seen till today that squarespace sites not get multiple categories listet in the serp= " multiple listings visibility market share" like cnn or bloomberg,etc,etc...

Does Google not like squarespace CMS or the majority of ss not enable index categories in the ss seo settings?

Or the squarespace system sets them on " nofollow" ?

It doesn't depend on the platform but depends on the type of content on the categories and how those are related with the keyword that is being searched. If a website has more than one relevant category pages to the search term and the website is authoritative too then it could show up multiple listings in search results otherwise not.

I don't think the platform itself would heavily impact the SEO factor. It is more about how you optimize your content, keywords, and the site's structure. As long as GoDaddy offers the right set of SEO tools, your ranking process should be similar to that of what you are used to on WordPress!

I'm not sure check sites like cnn, bloomberg, Dan Lok or Hubspot they coming up with multiple serp listings, then show me a squarespace site with that. I have a suspicious thought that ;

a) the majority of ss customers not set (in the squarespace seo settings) category to index and to "********"
b) the squarespace system tags all categories to nofollow ?
c) the customers not build category pages and content hub well linked together, all big media sites have this.

And least, I could not find out if the site bloomberg/europe (a content hub) is a page or a category , so with thes emultiple serps listings are these pages or categories - I think these are seo optimized categories. Most people no matter if they use squarespace or wordpress following the advise of "SEO Gurus" like MOZ, who telling you that multiple domains/multiple serp listings are bad for your seo and you should set your categories to noindex and nofollow, the same for yur root subdomain sites.

Does the godaddy site builder has today this silly 500 blog posts limit? Also you can't writing more than 500 blog posts on your site?

Godaddy just too expensive, surely if you have big budge but if not, the mantaining process for the site and other stuff you needed will suck your budget dry

Yes they are expensive, when you need really fast webhost you will get it but the price is 3-4x times higher than with really good webhosting experts who know what they are doing. But the shock is, that a lot of million dollar companies hosting their sites by godaddyfockers. The question is why ? I have not seen a global seo ranlking godaddy website builder site with multiple serp listings, may be this site builder tool is ideal for small local business people.

Check the site bloomberg.com/europe- this is a big content hub , but I could not find out if this is a page or a category ?
On ecommerce shops you see often multiple serp listings (categories) like Tiffany diamonds then multiple serp listings popping up in google. Have the right site structure is important to reach this serp domination when users type in google your name/brand name like Jsmith.com/news/blog as example.

I found out why squarespace sites not get multiple serp listings (brand intention search) ;

You can create a category in SS within a static page with their archive block !
That's not the same as the category archive in wordpress who is by default dynamic. This is why these squarespace sites not get multiple serp listings.

Try it with wordpress setup a static page then a blog block who lists your posts form specific category, this page is a static page not dynamic. And when you build dynamic categories as a silo (well internlinked within) then you will see them rank in google the static page with blog posts- not.

And my question to the godaddy site builder experts here; Are categories dynamic in godaddy site builder websites?

It is not related to the ranking, it is just that the company gets a domain, you can compare the price of the domain

ah moment....does not every website has a domain ??? I can't connect the three dots in my mind with your comment.....ok it's monday...

You can rank it if you know how to work with it. My brother-in-law has a website built with godaddy website builder and it's ranking for a few competitive keywords. I would still recommend you to use WordPress as it's more beginner friendly and provides much more customization options.

GoDaddy Website Builder & SEO While Using a GoDaddy website builder will not exactly hinder your SEO, it has its restrictions when you compare with WordPress. In general, there are more opportunities to control SEO plugins or even how customized the blog is for speed on WordPress blogs that may have an impact on rankings. However, the fundamentals of SEO such as good quality content, keywords, and back links will remain relevant. However, make sure GoDaddy's builder allows you to optimize those elements!
