I've been looking in this forum for a very specific thread on how to increase SE traffic, but I couldn't find one :/, so i decided to post this. I have 2 websites and none of them get any search engine traffic. 1 of them has 1k uniques daily but the other has only 10-20 uniques daily. I tried lots of things and i can't get any decent traffic to itsince it has a different niche than the other one(so it requires diff methods...). I came up with the conclusion to get SE traffic. Since once you get traffic from SE it will stay on autopilot I guess. I've been link dumping anywhere i could find, submitting to directories, posting using keywords in anchor text, increasing content, but i still haven't managed to get a pagerank. I don't think you can get on google's first page without a page rank right? So what can I do to increase pageranks and get on google's top list? Do I keep reapeating what I'm already doing? or is there some easier method that I can get faster results with?
I have actually seen sites on google page one with no page rank. Depends on how competative the key word or words are you are going after. In a nut shell, yes keep on getting links the more the better. Update the site regularly and make sure and have your pages optamised also. Is the site even indexed? You may have spammed too many links at once and got the google slap. Seems this site is probably in a more competative niche than the other site is. You can also study the sites that do rank for your niche key words and see what they have done to get there. There are some tools on here to help you do that with.
Google is particularly fickle when it comes to what web sites it sends it's search engine spiders to. The bad news is that if your web site is lacking in search engine friendliness, then your site might not show up in Google's SERP's. The good news is that by SEO-ing your web site for Google, you will also be improving your search engine indexability in MSN and Yahoo as well. Regards, Richard Vanderhurst
I don't know how google really work , I sometimes feel that as much back links you get you will get more google visitors but I think it's not totally true
