Getting DDoSed on a personnal computer, what to do ?

Someone that i know is getting ddos on his personnal computer, yesterday his dns crashed.

what can we do ?

we think that they are finding the ip of that person through a discord sdrver, his twitch, or other place
he is going to press charge at the police station tomorrow

what are your advices ?

Reset your IP.
Just unplug your router for like 15 minutes and afterwards check
if your IP changed.

If that didn't work, you could a Windows PC, in the command prompt type:

“ipconfig /release” (hit enter), then type “ipconfig /renew”, enter.

If that doesn't work, ask your ISP for a dynamic IP.

You don't have firewall configured?
