Fresh, Current Content Killed Rankings?

AHHHHH... so I had several sites ranked well for some pretty heavy keywords. I updated the on-site content to keep things relevant (these are online ticket broker sites that sell tickets to sports events, etc... the content needs to be updated regularly to keep it current in terms of sports teams, standings, injuries, etc...).

A day after the content update, the rankings tanked!

Anyone have any experience with this? What the HECK does Google want from me?!?!?!

How long ago did you do this? I see a fair amount of my sites do the same and come right back up in a couple of days... sometimes less.

People call it the "google dance". I call it a rotten pain in the ass.

Updated content yesterday... rankings dropped as of today!

Tip #1 don't jump to conclusions too fast, if your update was just yesterday than give it a few days to a week and see how it goes.

Just give it a few days. Most likely a minor Google dance.

Give it time. You can't go wrong with good, fresh content.
