I have been wondering how useful a forum is for traffic engagement and if the headache and extra work is worth it. I think in the fitness niche and if that is something you do full time then it should be of course. People interested in fitness are pretty passionate so it would be easy to engage them and get them talking about it, or at least clicking and reading are you looking for a specific ideas or action plan?

What do you run your forum on? Wordpress theme or a plugin? looking for best ideas myself

Thanks guys. I run it off discourse now. Used to run it on vbulletin. But so many times it broke down and hard to fix since they had shitty support. Wasn't easy to update either.

From their I merged to xenforo but ultimately like discourse theme better. However if doing it again would have stayed back with xenforo. Maybe will merge back again.

xenforo could be used with tapatalk and while discourse is free and has a good mobile theme its not as easy as tapatalk was.

Thats not the issue. I have sponsors lined up to pay. What I lack is more members and activity.

Get sponsors on board, invest that money in Google or some other big advertisement platforms to get traffic and members on board.

Hi welcome . Also for forum, you could find local gyms and place a couple cards on the front desk if they allow. Similar to how BHW has journey threads have a section on your site where people can have weight loss/muscle gain/work out journal. Find youtuber in fitness niche who already has following. Other: Contest, giveaway, free ebook.

Welcome man! Why don't you create a site with with good fitness or health articles and share in your forum. Since you know what people looking for most, why don't you use that opportunities and sell through content (Like affiliate content).
