Good news though, 1 pair of jeans has a watcher. These would sell for $15 profit if the watcher decides to purchase.

I also bought one more pair of jeans for $5 that I can make a $30 profit on.

I feel like once I start getting some cash flow going and I acquire an inventory of 100 or so jeans, I will be selling 2+ per day. Right now I just have 10 pairs, and so the volume isn't there yet.

Good luck. Interested to see how this one goes, if you play it smart and do things correct you might reach your goal. And remember that if you need to flip burgers to get some more cash, it sure ain't end of the world. Flipping jeans online is still way better though.

Update:

One of the pairs of jeans I decided to list as an auction because the quality of the jeans was questionable, so I wanted the market to decide how much they were worth. Started the bidding at $0.01 and it ended up going for $13.50. Not too bad, but pretty much break-even on this pair. Around $2 of profit!

I believe that the pictures of the jeans are super high quality in my listing, but I realized that I am missing a picture of the entire jeans in one shot. So tomorrow I am going to take a full picture of each pair and update their listings.

I don't know if it it's just be but I never buy jeans on the internet. I'll order anything else except for jeans as I'm the type of person that has to go into the store, try them on, see how they look/lay on me etc. Anyways, goodluck on the journey! I'll be watching this thread

Generally, the people buying jeans on eBay are the ones that already know what brand/style/size of jeans that they love. There is HUGE brand loyalty towards jean brands, because they all feel/fit differently, and so once someone finds the pair that they love, they will often stick with them.

Oooh I understand. No, I'm buying "designer" jeans, as in jeans that typically cost $150-$300 new.

Once upon a time....(but this is a true story). Years ago I wanted to get into online marketing. But I could not use any family funds (long story), so I would have to earn the money I needed to start online marketing. I started out selling used books on Amazon (even tried FBA) and eBay and eventually moved into selling used clothing (and anything else I could find to make a profit on at thrift stores) on eBay. Eventually I started making a pretty good part-time income. I used to say I was working full-time for a part-time income. I should have then started my online marketing. But I didn't. To make a long story short, life got in the way and I got away from it. Now I am trying to get back into it and earn some seed money to try to go into the online marketing business again. So my advice to you is to do what you are doing, and do what you gotta do, but stay focused on your end goal. As far as jeans go, don't just look for designer jeans. My local Goodwill and other thrift stores in the area sell jeans for around $4.50. Look for Levi's (except for the Signature label that they sell at Walmart) above a 30 or 32 inch waist (which gets you into the most popular sizes) and Carhatt Jeans. They will almost always sell for $10 or more giving you a near $5 profit (less fees) on each pair. I look at it this way, if you were walking down the street and saw a $5 bill on the ground would you pick it up? So why not pick up a pair of jeans at a thrift store and turn it over for a near $5 profit.
