In the past, I have started journeys on BlackHatWorld that have ended up failing. There are many reasons why my past journeys have failed, but to put it simply: laziness.

Now don't get me wrong, I have an incredible work ethic. But what I've found is that my work ethic has been spent on doing things that don't truly benefit me. I have cut unnecessaries from my life and so now my work ethic can be much more focused.

Life has hit me hard this past month. I've realized that it is now or never. I need to fight back now or else I fear that I will be flipping burgers at your local fast food joint in just a few years.

Why $3000?

This gives me $100 daily ad budget for a full month.

That is enough money to get a campaign running, to collect enough data, run analysis, optimize, and have a campaign running that is actually in the black (no more "breaking even"). The number one pitfall of running an advertising campaign is not starting with sufficient funds. There are countless times that I have went into a project with a lack of funds, and ran out of money before I could get any significant data.

How I will make $3000?

I will embrace the hustle. So far my plan is flipping designer jeans. The concept is simple, buy something used for $10 that retails for $150+, and then sell it for something in between those two numbers.

I'm open to any other suggestions as well!

What have I done so far?

I've bought 9 pairs of jeans so far for $79.54 from Goodwill and another local thrift store.

I am by no means an expert on jeans, I just had a list with me on an index card with me of 14 designer brands to search for. When I would found a pair by one of my brands, I would look up that specific model on eBay and determine if I could make more than $10 profit on the pair.

Whats next?

I need to take pictures of these jeans and get them up on eBay as soon as possible.

Simple idea I like it. Nothing to complex. Good luck. Following.

Do you plan on flipping just jeans or other products as well?

Make sure to account for 10% eBay and 3% PayPal fee so you don't end up making less than planned. Good luck

Interesting, good luck.

Thank you :)

Thank you Holzr! For now I am sticking to jeans so that I can develop a "beat" for them and really master this category. Jeans seem low risk to me because they're easy to determine the quality of the jean, and cost $5 to $15 at most each.

Thank you Revlot! I am pretty much grouping all of the fees inside a custom shipping policy on eBay. I'm charging the customer $6 for shipping, which is right below the average price I see for jeans. I've sold a few things on eBay in the past and I can't really tell the difference between free shipping and paid shipping for selling times. Only difference is that paid shipping gives me more money aha

----

To list these 9 jeans I have spent: 1 hour researching, 2.5 hours shopping, and 2 hours taking quality pictures and creating the listings.

Currently, there is $163.57 of potential revenue, plus 1 pair of jeans that I put on auction (others sold for $40), out on my eBay. This is with already subtracting fees and shipping. Subtract $79.54 for the price of merchandise, and I'm looking at anywhere from $84 to $120 in profit potential. Not bad for 5 hours of work total.

I'll further speed up once I start recognizing pairs of jeans that are selling HOT, and can go through an entire rack of jeans at Goodwill or a thrift shop in minutes. I want to keep my initial costs down, so I am only going to spend $100 on jeans until one pair sells, and then all profit will be reinvested. Tomorrow I will look for 2-4 more good pairs with the remaining $20 I have allowed myself for start-up spending.

good luck m8.

I been doing this for years on a stall .

sometimes you can get real cheap deals in private pound shops so we buy the lot sell on a stall 80% mark up.

you should try looking into wholesale market stock.

you can buy magazine for stall traders they do many items from 50p each to £5 each whole sale.

of course more you buy the cheaper.

you can also attend liqudize business auctions.

usally x20 time the value on stock.

if your legal can also use amazon liqudize stock that sent back .

Look into Amazon FBA. You can buy products from Ebay or Amazon directly and use FBA to make a decent profit. I've never done it, but had a friend who rigged the system and made a pretty sizeable profit from them.

You may also want to try watches, my buddy use to pick up 3000$ watches at good will for 20$ and re market them.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll look through the watches at the local thrift shop next time I go. My only fear is counterfeits, but if I stay away from Rolex's other very high end brands hopefully I'll find a few good ones!

Even if they are and you stay under 20$ you still make money. Counterfeit Rolex is 100$

I'm experimenting with eBay promoted listings. The faster that I can move this inventory, the better. Right now my promoted listing fee is 7.5%, which is well within my margins. If all of the jeans sell at this rate, I'll be charged around $12 total. Might just add $12 to my listings right now. ;)

Dude look into sneaker reselling, crazy profit potential.I'm not talking about regular general release sneakers, i'm talking limited sneakers.

I do the same thing for jet skis and dirt bikes. I buy units that don't run for $500-2000, get them running and flip them for $8-14k. Easy money as most people don't understand mechanics anymore. Not overly hard to pull $10k a week fixing and selling 2 units a week.

Hey Josh, thanks for the idea! I've heard that many smaller engines just need a simple spark plug replacement or a new belt to get running again. I'll definitely look into this, but any single item more than $50 is out of my investment range right now.

Flipping offline or online is probably one of the best things you can do to get a budget.

If you're expert or atleast you have good knowledge in any area you can basically turn 100$ into a 10 000 in 6-8 months.

Sadly there are tax issues everywhere so it's kinda limited but i'm doing it for fun anyways :D

Yeah, tons of basic stuff. Fuel injectors wax up on units that have been sitting.

I have a friend who takes all the items that are giving away free in local classified ads and selling it. he makes a nice profit every month
