There's a new shopping app called "Flip" that has been experiencing astronomic growth in the US thanks to its extremely generous referral policy.

For referring a user, you can get paid between $50-$200 dollars. It's not real cash, you need to use it in the app. But it could be used to buy things that could easily be resold.
The way the referrals work is that you get a different rate based on how many contacts your contacts have within the app. It's a good network-effects play. Clever on their part, assuming customer LTV is higher than the few hundred $$ it costs to get these referrals onboarded.

For context, this is what the referral system looks like:

I have done it personally and can confirm that it works. The only caveat is that it

gives you the money with a "95% discount" – so a $100 item becomes ~$10 ($5 for product, ~ $5 for shipping).

Why has no one made a botnet for this yet? Seems dead simple. I'd love to advise on a project like this, but have too much on my plate. Any good bot engineers out there could probably make a pretty penny with a relatively small amount of work. I wouldn't do this if I lived in the U.S.A. though.

I can't find this app, is this available only on Apple Store so Iphone or I can't really see it? Can you share a link to this app please?

their website is flip.shop

appcowz, why did you say you would avoid this if you live in the USA? Thanks!
Eh tbh I don't know. Seems like one of those things that's probably worth talking to a lawyer about first, and that would cost as much as you'd end up making
