https://jeremywakamu.com) you're talking about, then you need lots of changes before you go to monetization process.
- Why you don't list your recent blog posts on your homepage (I see none listed there, except some links on the sidebar which I suppose it might be it).
- I really think that you can do a better speed optimization on your site. It's not that bad, but if it can get better, why not aim for it?
-Remove the 2 footer links you have. There's no need to have them unless you have some benefit from them.
-I'd also remove the scrolling social buttons. The header ones are pretty good and they do their job.
-It's hard to rank for financial keywords, especially with a new domain like you have (in terms of backlinks, you got 3 according to Ahrefs). Like most beginners, I suppose you're not on a budget to get some good links pointing at it, so the best you can do is aim for guest posts from related financial sites (yes there are many free link opportunities, you just gotta find them). Point some of them at the homepage, along with some social profiles and web 2.0s that you should create on your own. After that, aim for some very long-tail and not competitive keywords just to get the ball rolling in terms of organic traffic.
-I know SEO will take a lot of time and it will be frustrating when you will not see organic traffic even after 20-30 guest post, but slow and steady wins the race here. For that reason, I'd suggest you to also focus on Social Media traffic. Facebook groups would be the first place, then Reddit (my own opinion). There will be posts where people can ask for financial advice.
Now in terms of monetization, I wouldn't really suggest using AdSense as a long-term form as it's just not worth it. You can create some info products at a cheaper price than what is already out there.
