Finding Emails with Scrapebox

Looking to get an opinion about how to use Scrapebox to find emails (I have the premium email plugin)

@loopline would be great if you can chime in

Backstory:

I am currently using hunter.io to find emails for link building purposes, but at 199$/month and 20k domain limit it really limits my ability to get a lot of emails.

I am currently trying to use Scrapebox to find emails but so far the results has been abysmal.

FYI i'm using the cheapest VPS from https://www.hostwinds.com/vps/windows

Lets start with this

When i use that setting the amount of emails that i got is not great, out of 10k websites i only get around 100 emails..
But when i change the search level to level 1 the process takes A LOT longer. I got more emails but it took significantly longer

My question is:
1. What should i do on my end to make the process faster & easier? (Should i use proxies? What type? How many worker threads? Should i add delay?)
2. The emails per domain option are not fool proof. I put 1 but often times i got more than 1 email per domain.

Any help is appreciated

The "any of the words in the url line" should be seperated by spaces not commas. So right now its going to try to find commas in the url and so its probably never going to fire, hence 1 reason for abysmal.

Can you give some example domains/urls that produce more then 1 email per domain?

Also if your going to use the url line filter, then I would set it to at least level 1 or level 2.

I would skip proxies and set connections to 2

If I wanted it faster I would split my list and then run more then 1 instance.

wtsnet.org is one domain that keeps showing more than 1 email

I tried that one and I got 1 email and it quit, if I don't use your url parameters.

If I do use your url parameters, then it gets zero emails.

Are you using the

crawl loaded list tab or ? I mean your screen shows it, but just double checking.

I am using the crawl loaded list tab

I implemented your suggestions and everything looks better. First I search for source page only and anything that doesn't spit emails was sent for another round of scraping with level 1 or 2.

Overall i got a pretty good list. Feels i'm getting the swing of things a little bit

But i do have a somehow similar question about scraping emails..

If i want to search for steel companies' email on google using "steel contractor + city" i assume i will need rotating proxies to do this effectively?

Great, glad your getting the swing of things.

You could use rotating proxies. They are not necessarily required.

If you get a good rotating proxy provider, then it can be great to scrape google. However if you get one that is over loaded or doesn't really focus on google, then they may have lots of google blocked proxies or mostly all google blocked and then your just spinning your wheels.

At that point private proxies plus a delay is better. Neither is a wrong answer, it just depends on what works for you.

below are 2 videos. the first is a concept video on how to safely scrape google using private proxies. you can adjust the ratios it talks about as needed, although it requires higher ratios then it did when the video was made

And then this video is about rotating proxies with some good info about how they interact with scrapebox etc..

Well the email would have to be public. But you could just load in the dating urls and the email grabber will grab what it can.

Else you can crawl the site or use like

site:domain.com keyword

to scrape the dataing urls from google etc.

loopline has made really good videos on YouTube that will teach you a lot. Also, here on BHW, there is a lot of info spread throughout.

That would be a violation of the BHW rules, plus I want scrapebox to stay in business so that they can keep developing and supporting the software so I would never share such even if I had it. I would encourage you to purchase a legitimate copy from them. Its easily worth and could be sold for $300 and people would buy it all day, but they offer it for $97 on their site and $67 here on BHW, its a steal at that price. Its worth supporting the work.

So worth it I literally tried to donate money to them back years ago, although they would not have it. None the less, its worth every dime.

Anyway scrapebox is on the Do Not Share list, so this is probably risky at best.

Hello BHW

@loopline would love for you to assist with this.

We are using the Scrapebox premium email plugin.

When we use the plugin and go to the options tab
at bottom of the page.

In the settings section at top of the page.

search results per keyword per engine is set to 100

What happens if I set this to Zero...?

How does this setting work..?

Its just the number of results to scrape from google, and then from there it scrapes emails.

The default settings are generally fine. you can go lower on the number of google results, but the lower you go the more relevant but also the lower quantity you will get, so you need a happy medium. Some testing is probably in order, to find what works best to get you want you consider acceptable and ideal.
