I'm trying to find some websites that haven't been updated in a while in certain niches and I was wondering if anybody had any ideas or thoughts.

So far, the only thing I can think about is to search for the footprint: Copyright 2000, Copyright 2001, and so on until 2020. Obviously, it's not a guaranteed success but usually people that are maintaining their site update the Copyright every year.

Otherwise, I thought about searching Google by date range but it doesn't really work. I just did a search for articles that were 3 years old or older, I found a bunch of sites but all of them had been updated since. It was only the articles that were old.

So anyone? Any ideas or thoughts?

Thanks a lot!

doesn't Wordpress have a footprint in its source code that shows the last time the site has been updated ?? I think I saw a footprint like this somewhere...

If not, you could probably pay a programmer to build you a list of footprints and use that list with Scrapebox

If I'm not mistaken, you can change the latest update of a post in WordPress but I don't know of any way to look at the last time the whole site was updated.

I've been wanting to use Scrapebox to find those sites but I can't think of any footprints that would allow me to do that. @loopline posted a video on Youtube a while back about the Page Scanner Addon that could have been good but I can't seem to be able to find the good footprints or parameters.

I've had a bit of success by manually performing some actions such as:
1 - Entering the following in the URL bar: java_script:alert(document.lastModified)
2 - Looking at sitemaps
3 - Using Google Cache
4- Looking at Headers by using httpstatus: https://httpstatus.io/

But none of that is scalable to find a bunch of sites or as a footprint in Scrapebox.

nice idea

I am looking for blogs which are expired and not ingoogl cache

for ur query ,search for expird domain name, domain name had keywords as ur niche,

No I actually want to buy existing blogs that haven't been updated in a while, not just the domain.
If haven't been updated in a while, contacting the owners of the blogs with your offer could be very difficult I think.
