These days I expect anything and everything from Google.
 
It was just a matter of time. People spam it a lot.
 
How does any client side visual changes relate to dealing with spam Faq sites?

Google spiders will still crawl the schemas and rank results as before.

It's just that clients won't see FAQ section in rich results.
 
Interesting move by Google. From my experience, FAQ schema provided a significant SERP advantage for many sites. It's crucial now to pivot and focus more on core content quality and organic link-building strategies.
