Facebook Pages Taking Over Google Search Results

Ok so I just had a nice website/blog ranking well in my industry here and next thing I know bam Facebook Pages taking over part of the first page and climbing and dominating the 2nd page of Google for it's major search term.

Why is this?

What to do to get past these dam pages?

I went and looked at the pages and some only have a 100 likes or so.

I thought that Google did something to not rank the same urls from a site letting them domonate a page like this for one search term. Thus being facebook urls.

Ideas and help would be greatly appreciated as I am sure I'm not the only one having this problem.

LOL UPDATE!

As soon as I posted this I went to look again and all of the Facebook pages are gone, but this sends signs of Google Possible doing an update, so you better go check your sites for the next few days.

Dam now they are all back what the hell is going on here?
 
What this is showing me is that forget about having a website. Just get a facebook page. It is easier to maintain do not have to write a bunch of content as you can just copy and paste short messages onto your fan page wall. Do like 10 post a day don't worry about link building cause you don't need to do any with it and you will get on the first page of Google...really yes really....ok blowing a little steam here haha.

A lot of people are doing this now; however your luck may run out the day Facebook fades.
 
True and I can't wait for that been busting my butt on this site and not for dum Facebook pages to out rank everyone else that is busting their ass too!
 
Why is it that seemingly knowledgeable SEOs always shit themselves and run around like their hair was on fire, every time their sites do the Google Dance? Do both. No law that says you can't do both a website and a facebook page.
 
I do do both haha and you know what they are not showing up there anymore....just weird how they came out of no where like that and just vanished into thin air....crazy!
 
facebook pages can rank pretty high on google....you need to just keep working to pass them in the serps...
 
Yeah for a while now I've been having my FB pages for multiple sites outranking the site itself when I initially start doing SEO for new projects...they're easy to beat with a little work, but 0 DA can't compete with 99 Domain Authority right off the bat...

True but now they are gone...I have this site ranking very well for what I am doing. It just must have been some weird Google Update either a Panda, Penguin, Humming Bird or could be a new one called Bear or what ever they decide to call the next update.

....They really know how to make you start hating animals ya know lol.
