I don't know exactly what purpose it will serves actually. Seems to be interesting and I might do some research on how to do it.

He's trying to fool people into believing it is facebook.
Basically the one and easiest way to do this is actually create a facebook page of what you're trying to do. Post everything you want to post, then logout and visit the page to make sure it looks like you want it to. (make sure it has a weird name so random people don't access it).
Skip above if you don't want to create your own page.
Anyways, after you admire your facebook page. Download HTTRack (Website Copier). Link it with the facebook page you want and it'll download everything and place it in a perfect order -> HTML Pages/CSS/Images.
Anyways, what's cool with HTTRack is it also downloads one layer of links with it too (if the links are from the same website) it usually goes through them and download them too and link them in your website.
Now all you do is edit things like likes and stuff with a simple text editor and your good to go.
