Hello everybody, My name is Jackie and I'm new to blackhatworld! I have an offline business (tanning salon) and I also do online marketing. I really enjoy trying out PPC... faster results!

I have found a great product I'm promoting via PPC so far with the FB platform. Every time I create an ad I get tons of shares, likes, comments and most importantly purchases. The problem is the product is only $7 and I pay $1.50 to get it made. So there isn't much room for ROI.

Here is an example of an ad I get over 50 shares, 100 + likes, many positive comments and spend $50 and make $45 dollars.

In the long run is the shares valuable? Should I continue with FB ads if I'm getting a lot of traction?

What in you opinion is the best way to go with facebook with low costing products? PPE ads?

Thank you!!!

If it's making money, keep going

What a shit reply @makistoj . Marketing is like sex where quick isn't always best. If you don't split test multiple ads you're losing even if you do make some money. Adespresso has a free trial with features you will learn that refines your advertisements against each other.

Is the product related to your offline business (ie your brand?). If so then running negative may just be an investment in bringing awareness and getting the product out there. If it's something that can be bought over and over through return customers then maybe you aren't actually in the red when you count future earnings.

Also there is value if it brings more likes/shares of your business' FB pages etc.

However most likely there is an issue with your marketing funnel. FB ads can be pretty expensive, so you may want to study up more before blowing through a ton of cash.

Hi,
Welcome to BHW :)
Getting shares and like is great for your website SEO, also a very good way for branding, but for sales it will not affect later
. You may need to make some changes in your product like adding subscribe or trying to sell multiple products for the same client
. You can also try to capture your clients emails so you can contact them later to buy similar or anpther product
. In fb there is multiple ads mode, do a website clicks ad, insert the fb pixel code to your website, this mean you will capture your visitors on fb, do a very chap remarketing ad for your visitors, this will convert much better

Let me know if you need further details

Well I never said don't split test. But if his fb ads are making him money, keep going with fb ads.

Thank you for that. This is a brand product. I'm getting a lot of engagement which is great. My only concern is I'm pretty much even for cost. Spent lifetime 1K earned about $989 for a example. So, I wonder if the shares will bring in sales after a while.

The shares may bring in more revenue for you over time as you can grow exponentially that way but it still looks to me that you need to be able to produce the product for about 1/3 of what you are paying now or increase the price of that product.

It sounds like you know what you are doing as to marketing on FB so an alternative would be to try other products as well and see if you can find one that does give you a positive ROI.

I still use:

Facebook marketings
blog marketings
twitter marketings
tumblr marketings
instagram marketings
and PBN

I think everything worked, if you are doing in significant amounts.

If the bit that will not work

Thank you! What I been doing is slowly adding products with higher prices and better ROI. My main product is the cheapest cost but sells the most. As of right now I'm creating lookalike audience and today I spent $9.88 and made $21.05. Then I created a website conversion and spent $7.28 with no purchases. I'm going to start retargeting after more data. What do you think would be the best for cost effective? PPE ads? Thanks

A lookalike audience is a must in my opinion when marketing via FB ads; it makes your targeting so much easier.

PPE is, for me, the most cost effective for the products and services I market there.

An example of a product I sell - cost is just under 6.00 USD. Sale price is just under 50.00 USD. Customer acquisition cost is just over 10.00 USD and I pay the shipping which is about 7.50 USD and I use PPE for that product.

To be honest, I could care less if they like or comment on the page I send them to, my end goal is to get them to purchase my product, as is yours, but the PPE pricing for me seems to work out best.

Hi Jackie,

Of course there is place to keep pushing on Facebook ads.
From my point of view you should focus on Link (CPC) and try to get better CPC.
If you want to know if your cpc is good you should compare it to standars of each country/niche as is really relative, if you want further help with these write me by private message.
Getting a good CPC in Facebook is really a challenge. You start getting information with your add spend as where is the cheapest location (desktop, mobile) also try to filter the cities you are getting better cpc, age frames, platform (most of niches get cheaper cpc on android devices), etc.
So, keep pushing! To get results with Facebook you have to learn to be persistent, withouth doubt I can tell you Facebook traffic is one of the best traffic sources out there!

Great tips! I could create another website and have a great ROI if my product cost more but unfortunately my product is a low cost product and there isn't room for ROI. Your right I need to find good CPC. Video gets really low CPC but I find it doesn't convert on FB. I think my best bet is PPE which is low CPC and gets plenty of shares.
