Hello, statistically judging,
Facebook's user base has been declining for the past five years.

I was thinking about starting a Facebook group, but I'm reconsidering.
Those of you who do own a group, could you tell me what to expect and how much money it can make on average?
I understand that each niche is unique and that it varies.
But, say, do you have a yearly estimate of a 10,000-member group or please tell me how much do you make monthy from yours.
Affiliate marketing is the safest bet when it comes to monitizing a Facebook group. Are there any more ways to monetize it?
I made my first one two years ago and then quit after one day due to Facebook's ban on affiliate links.

Is it correct that there is a way to avoid this?
I recall that link shorteners didn't work, and the only thing that did was a redirect to a different website that contained the affiliate link. Also, do you have to notify people if you're posting an affiliate link, or can you just leave it?
Thank you for your responses and help,
Xerx.

definitely not do FB imo. Your own blog + YT + tiktok + email list. Why give away people to Facebook? And they don't even let you post affiliate links lol.

How much are you expecting to earn with this combination (Averge estimate)? I'm not going to do anything with affiliate marketing cpa yt, tiktok, or a blog, but thank you ;)

Facebook is on a decline but it will take years before it can be considered dead. The traffic is still massive and there's money to be made. Not as easy as it was before 2015 but you can still do it. And groups are better than pages in 2022.

Of course it's still worth it. Measuring "facebook" and "meta" interest in Google Trends will tell you nothing. Yes - in general FB is declining, but it is still the largest social network out there. If you are targeting particular niches or age-groups it will be a traffic source for a long, long time. For many people aged 50+ it will be the last network they use. Also depends on the country. I assume it's still going strong in Serbia / Eastern Europe if that's where you're based.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not a fan, especially considering the affiliate links ban etc... but you just have to be more creative. For example : use the facebook group to promote your Telegram channel, where things are much more lenient and in your control. Use it to build your email lists. You have to find a way to get the traffic out. Don't work for Facebook by creating the best group possible, just get some of the free traffic to your other channels.

Myspace is still going strong in the indie music niche - they have just a fraction of their former traffic, but if it's the right traffic for your website why would you care. With Facebook you can do a pretty damn good traffic targeting even by just spamming the right groups. Not a lot of platforms give you those options.

Doing business there, white hat. In some countries, most people migrated from forums to facebook and that's why that can be a golden pot. You can also reach audiences that are not anywhere else on the Internet cause facebook is the whole Internet for some people.

In my country they said if you don't have a Facebook account, you don't exist. That was back in 2015 tho. Almost all local social media platforms perished.

It does the trick.

If you want to spam affiliate links, either become an admin, buy advertising from the group admin or find a niche where it's easy to get a lot of traffic by just posting like adult + dating groups.

Of course, direct links are banned. You need to use domains that are perceived as trusted. There is probably a way to trick this anyways. Maybe post the link in the comments or tell people to DM you.

It's worth it, in 2022 Top Gurus are turning to facebook... The secret is to close the group after you have made some sales from the members and start a new group.
