Facebook Conversion Pixel

How does the Facebook conversion pixel work when advertising affiliate sites?
I tried emailing the affiliate manager to add the code to the header on the product's thank you page and never got a response?

Is there a third party replacement or some way to track conversions without having to deal with the affiliate manager?

I don't think the conversion pixel will work for affiliate sites as that is to be integrated manually. So, no affiliate manager will install it as he would have to install the pixel for every guy promoting his product.

Well that's what I was assuming, but how do I track conversions then?
