Facebook charging £10 per message!!

Its not just $10. Depending on popularity it may cost more. It costs $100 to mail Zuck.

not only celebs they are gna charge to send message to anyone outside friendlist.. that what i read somewhere i dont remember

It's utterly retarded, that's what I think of it.

There are some fb groups setup as second hand market, like a classifieds site, where you want to just message the seller and not add as a friend. Currently, in each ad, if the seller can't find the message, the user has to instruct him to the Other folder and it's working well, people are getting smarter.

I don't see any use of that paying feature because who would really want to message a celebrity? Is it that urgent that you want to pay money to gets his/her attention? What do you expect the outcome to be?

If this is to eliminate spammers, then the Other folder already served its purpose. I don't see any use of this feature, it just sounds like a desperate attempt to extract money from its user base.

Facebook is no longer a social network if I don't get to see all the updates from friends and pages. They implemented ads, it was ok. They added sponsored posts, it was also ok. But limiting the visibility of posts to a percentage is just again retarded.

Their search feature sucks too. I search for a page I liked before and I get related results but not the page I'm looking for..

Moreover, they allow child porn on their Instagram service, not sure how they are not getting any legal attacks.

FB can only make a profit if people are stupid enough to pay.

This is somehow Impossible, Because facebook make money from free user through ads and stuff that published on facebook pages.

gd i hope it goes down like bebo, there big chucky ads kill my old machine, twitter will be the winner in the end :)

Listen up guys ! this feature isn't made for marketers minds, it's for fanboys who love their idles that are willing to spend money if they know that the celebrity will read the message :)

I can't wait for Facebook to go the way of Myspace. I'm ready for something new.
