Facebook Ads - What ad set do you use?

Hey everyone,

I'm going to try to advertise on FB, but there are sooo many options when setting up an ad.

What does work best for you?

I sell a product/service, so what would be the best option for it? Impressions? Conversions? What countries to target except US, UK, CA?

I'd appreciate every reply!

Optimize for conversions, automatic bidding, charged by impression.

Target US/UK/CA/AU (1 country at a time so you can find out which converts best).

Test different angles (ads copy + images). Test different audiences.

Possibly only target desktops as that means people are at their desk/at home. Mobile is cheaper but you might not get many conversions (depends on your product/service). If you are targeting mobile devices - only target newsfeeds and make sure to only target people when they are surfing on wifi as that will probably give you better results.

Build an audience list from people that hit your landing page / thank you page and build "look a like audience" from them and create new ads targeting them.
