Facebook Ads Cloaking - Is It Really That Good and Effective?
Hey everyone,
Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of talk around Facebook Ads cloaking-some swear by it as a way to bypass strict ad policies, especially for “difficult” niches. Others, though, seem to have run into issues like ad account bans, disabled BMs, or wasted ad spend after just a short run.
So I thought I’d open up this thread for a friendly discussion:
  • Have you ever tested cloaking on Facebook Ads? What was your experience like?
  • Did it actually bring in better results, or did the risks outweigh the rewards?
  • Do you think this method is still sustainable with all the recent updates from Meta?

The effectiveness of cloaking depends on the situation, but the risk of account suspension or loss of advertising data is always very high.
 
Facebook now tests not only ads or landing page content but also user behavior. If the cloaker is not smart enough, the account can easily be disabled. I think cloaking is still an integral part of this game, but it must be accompanied by good content, organic traffic and tight control of the testing budget. It is not as easy as it was a few years ago.

Based on what I've seen, Fb Ads cloaking is a risky strategy that often leads to bans and wasted ad spend. While some people claim success, the general consensus is that the risks far outweigh any potential rewards, especially with Meta's increasingly sophisticated detection methods :)
 
Up to now, it is still effective, especially for insurance products such as crypto, gambling, finance. But now, Meta is tightening censorship so it is not a perfect choice.

Thanks for your input. You make a strong point-with detection methods improving, the balance has shifted, and many would agree that the risks can easily outweigh the benefits.

Thanks for sharing your view. It’s true that some niches may still see results, but with Meta tightening its review process, it’s definitely not without its limitations.
 
If you're doing dropshipping, you should choose a legitimate method. From what I know, those types of businesses require a certain level of product credibility for viewers to be willing to buy.
